Meanwhile

Walnut wood and bronze sculpture

52x42x22cm

2025

Meanwhile suggests not a moment, but a duration. It refers to something that once began and never truly ceased. A slow process, unfolding beyond our field of view.

What appears evokes the image of a cell, a blood corpuscle, a bubble in the act of forming. The sculpture forms a body that does not narrate, but holds. What remains is neither beginning nor end, but a residue of movement. A quiet echo of something that once took place.

Meanwhile also means: in the meantime, this continues to exist. While everything changes, names fade, routes disappear. The work carries no history, but a continuity that cannot be dated, only felt.

What appears here is neither past nor promise, but an ongoing condition. Something that has remained in motion.
Meanwhile.
