In his textile works, Maarten Donders uses fabric, thread and texture to investigate the possibilities of organic form. Shapes develop through repetition, layering and unexpected combinations, creating structures that appear both natural and invented.

Some resemble microscopic organisms or fragments of unfamiliar landscapes. Others resist recognition altogether. The works occupy a space between observation and imagination, where materials become the starting point for new visual possibilities.
